Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To build accessible, science-informed tools and media that support emotional intelligence and nervous system regulation across a wide range of bodies and lived experiences.

Our Vision

A world where the ability to rest and regulate is a foundational standard & every body has access to stories and objects that help support embodied ease and wonder.

The core idea is simple: nervous system support is infrastructure, not a luxury. Like any good infrastructure, it should be present for the people who need it most. The burned-out parents, caregivers running on fumes, people navigating chronic illness or challenges with Long COVID, and children still learning to name what is happening in their bodies (and what to do about it).

The Problem

The wellness industry wasn't built for the people who need it most.

The $7 trillion global wellness industry assumes a certain baseline of capacity as a starting point. Even its digital side (meditation apps and clinical protocols) require resources many cannot access. This industry was largely designed for the already-regulated and resourced. People who are focused on optimization, not survival, regulation, or recovery. It targets people who can sit still for thirty minutes (or break a sweat), afford a discretionary subscription, access a quiet room, or have the extra cognitive bandwidth to "do the work" of being well.

That is not most people.

For the body in a flare, the nervous system that never got a chance to reset, or the family navigating disability, wellness shouldn't require another app to manage or another practice to master. When the industry treats emotional intelligence and nervous system regulation as a luxury service for the highly-resourced, it ignores the millions of us who need accessible, sensory-first tools that meet us exactly where we are.

This isn't a "wellness gap." It is an infrastructure failure in a $13 trillion market.

According to the 2024 Valuable 500 study on the disability community:

2%
Feel accurately portrayed in media and marketing.
50%
Encounter active barriers to accessing content and products.
$13T
Combined annual spending power of the disability community and their circle of influence.
54%
Favor companies that represent disability authentically.

Why it exists

Built by lived experience.
Scaled by folks who know how.

TenderVerse™ is built by a small team whose lived experience with chronic illness, caregiving, and high-pressure work shapes every story, tool, and toy we make. We design from the inside out: for the bodies and nervous systems the existing wellness market was not built for.

The systems thinking that scales the work comes from a decade of building demand-generation programs for SaaS companies. The sensory care that grounds it comes from years of practice in breathwork, meditation, yoga, and somatic study. We pair those two on purpose.

What we mean by inclusive design

  • We start with the most marginalized bodies and nervous systems, then let that care cascade into every story, tool, and toy.
  • We design for real windows of tolerance: low bandwidth, high sensory load, fatigue, flares, and the chaos of caregiving.
  • We co-design with disability and chronic-illness communities, not just for them. This way the work stays grounded in the actual lives it’s meant to support.

For every human who needs the world to feel a little softer.
